Guest Authors Revisited - Robin Leigh Morgan

I first interviewed Robin Leigh Morgan back in May (you can read that interview here), I recently caught up with her to see what she's been up to since then, you can find out more below:

What has changed in your life since we last spoke?
Things are basically the same. We still have no children. We’re still married and about to celebrate our 20th anniversary this month [November]. And my OH is getting ready to retire in about a year.

Have you learnt any new wisdom?
Yes, I have. Essentially it’s if you make a commitment yourself to write almost every day, keep to it.

Have you become a better writer? If so, how?
What author doesn’t improve with age as they write more and more each day? In my debut romance novel, the YA Paranormal/Time Travel/First Kiss entitled “I Kissed a Ghost”, I’d been a newborn, novice author. I felt if I’d gone back to primary school learning my ABC’s, however this time everything had applied to learning how to become an author. I’ve learned a lot, and I’m still learning about how to balance the narrative/dialogue portions of my story, I’ve increased my ability regarding the POVs I use, and I’ve learned how to better lay out the storyline of what I’m endeavoring to write amongst other things.

What are you working on at the moment?
I’m currently working on my second romance novel, a still untitled adult Contemporary with a paranormal element running through parts of the storyline; with a firm commitment to myself to finish the first draft by the end of November.

Tell us about your latest release and how we can find out more.
My latest release is the KINDLE edition of “I Kissed a Ghost” which had occurred on May 12, 2013, the paperback edition had been released on December 20, 2012.

If anyone is interest in learning about the status of my writing my second romance novel, I’ve begun to write status updates on two of my sites. or

  1. THANKS for re-interviewing me a few months and naturally a few things have changes.

I'm still writing my second romance novel. I've got 34 Chapters, 234 Formatted Pages [single-spaced, 6" x 9" pages, like a book] and it now as the working title of "His Darkest Secret." Hopefully I can finish it my June of this year considering everything else I'm involved with now.

I should be seeing five Flash Fictions I've submitted [with a little tweaking] for an anthology of short stories involving HIV/AIDS in print.

I'm compiling an anthology of the Flash Fiction I've written and

    1. No problem, sounds like you're keeping busy :-)
