Guest Author Interview - Jill Sanders

In today's guest author interview I welcome Jill Sanders, read what she has to say below:

Please introduce yourself, who are you and what do you do?
Hi everyone, I'm Jill Sanders and I'm an indie author of contemporary romance books. I've just released the first two books in my four part series, The Pride Series. Finding Pride, the first in the series was released in October 2012. Discovering Pride, book two was just released on January 31st.

What first inspired you to start writing?
I started wanting to write when I was a teen. I actually wrote a “novel” with my twin sister and best friend in the fifth grade. I also had a few English teachers encourage me to write descriptive stories and I fell in love.

Who is your favourite author and why?
I think as an author anything and everything I've ever read has influenced me at one point. But, if I had to pick a favorite, it would be Nora Roberts.

Do you have a favourite place where you write?
Not really, we are in the process of fixing up an older house (much like Aaron is in my 2nd book) so, the best place to write is a dust free clean surface for now.

What do you enjoy most about writing?
I enjoy the freedom of expressing myself. I actually get to be all my characters. I think that if I couldn't write down some of my thoughts, I would shrivel up.

And the least?
Editing is most definitely my least favorite part of writing. Luckily, I have enlisted the help of some family members and friends to help me with this.

What advice would you give new and aspiring authors?
Don't give up and don't stop writing. Find a support group of friends/family that can help you through the tougher times. My second and probably most important lesson I learned is... Edit, edit, and edit.

What are you working on at the moment?
I am currently writing the third book in the Pride Series, Returning Pride, which is Iian and Allison's story.

Tell us about your latest work and how we can find out more.
Discovering Pride tells the story of spit-fire Lacey Jordan. Lacey has a knack for knowing things before they happen. She helps run her families restaurant and has always had her life laid out, until she bumps into the new town doctor, Aaron Stevens. Aaron has just moved in to town to take over his Grandfather's medical practice after coming out of a terrible relationship. All he wants to do is work on turning the old house he has just purchased into a place he can call home. But, he can't stop thinking about the fairy creature he bumped into while swimming In his pond.
