Film Review - Life of Pi

I have to confess I wasn't expecting much from this film. From all the praise it has received I was expecting something pleasant, but i doubted it would live up to the hype.

Well I was wrong. This is an amazing film. It tells the story of an Indian boy and his life, in particular it tells of how he survived when the ship he was sailing on sank in the pacific. Everything about this film is perfect. It's wonderfully acted, beautifully filmed and the animation is superb.

I loved the animation on the Tiger, he doesn't say much, but he's a great character. I loved the T-Rex moment :-)

Quite simply this a great film, one I'd recommend to everyone.

Based on the critically acclaimed, best-selling book, Ang Lee brings one boy’s spectacular journey to the big screen in the book that was considered un-filmable. A young man who survives a disaster at sea is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. While cast away, he forms an unexpected connection with another survivor--a fearsome Bengal tiger.
