This is a very silly film, there's nothing wrong with that. It's also quite fun. The story continues from the end of the fairy tale with Hansel & Gretel pushing the witch into the oven. They then go on to a life of hunting witches.
As I say this is a silly film. The witches are spell throwing ninjas making for some over the top fights. The bad guy's plan is suitably diabolical and leads to a big showdown.
I liked it. It's not a classic in the rough by any means, but it's a entertaining popcorn movie.
Get ready for a twisted take on the classic tale as Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton) have turned pro, coping with the trauma of their childhood captivity by slaying witches for hire. But when the seemingly unstoppable bounty hunters meet their match in an enemy so evil, it'll take all their training, weapons and courage to survive.

By day I'm a video game consultant, and I also volunteer at the German Shepherd Dog Welfare Fund - the charity that rescued the dog I adopted last year. I've also recently started compiling a website covering the history of the village I live, although I'm hoping to draw in some help for that project! Here is scratchpad when I need it, and a place for my personal projects. It's also an archive from back when this was was my writing blog.

Just watched this last week. Totally crazy silly flick but I am glad I didn't pay to see it in the theater
ReplyDeleteAgreed, I rented it, silly but reasonably entertaining.
