Book Impressions - Beyond Ecelectic by Jonathan Hill

Until now my only experience of Jonathan Hill's writing had been one of his Maureen books - A Letter for Maureen, Maureen is a lovely character and makes an appreance in this collection of short stories. As the title suggests this is a range of different stories, but the book seems to have a darker undercurrent - which suits me just fine!

The Lollipop Man was my favourite and has a real creepy feel to it and to the author's credit there isn't a bad story amongst the collection. I read through them all quickly and that is a testament to the writing, it just get drawing me on.

It's usually at this point that I mention any niggles or problems I had with the book, but in this case there is none - this is a superb collection.
